  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast (cubed)

  • 4 medium celery ribs (sliced)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 medium jalapeño (minced)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans great northern beans (drained)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add cubed chicken and cook until browned (about 5 to 7 minutes).
  3. Stir in diced onion, sliced celery, diced bell pepper, and minced jalapeño; cook for 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Add minced garlic and spices; stir constantly for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth and drained beans; bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream; cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until heated through.
