  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar. Heat on medium-high until boiling.
  2. Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for one minute.
  3. Remove from heat and strain the tea into a pitcher; allow cooling for about 10 minutes.
  4. Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes and add fresh mint leaves.
  5. Pour ½ cup of apple juice followed by ½ cup of brewed tea into each glass.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of lime juice per glass and stir gently. Garnish with apple slices and lemon wedges before serving.
